Bangkok Contemporary Art Fair (BCAF) is set to launch THE POP 2026, Thailand's first International Creative & IP Art Fair

— a new platform that unites art toys, character IP, and contemporary art under one roof, and signals Thailand's arrival as a serious player in Asia's fast-growing creator economy.Held under the theme "Safe to Bloom," THE POP creates a space where creativity can grow freely while embracing the diversity of artists and emerging creators across Asia. The event will run from 18-21 June 2026 at centralwOrld PULSE, 7th and 8th Floor, with an expected 60,000 visitors across four days. Admission is free throughout.More Than a Fair

— A Platform for Asia's Creator EconomyTHE POP 2026 is not structured as a traditional art toy market. It is built as an IP-first platform: a meeting point where original characters, narrative-driven worlds, and emerging creative universes can connect with collectors, brands, media, and licensing partners. With character IP, collectibles, and creator-led commerce among the fastest-growing creative segments in Asia, THE POP positions Bangkok as the natural hub for cross-border creative exchange."We're not building another fair," the team behind THE POP says. "We're building the infrastructure that lets the next generation of creators take their IP to the world — starting in Bangkok."Blooming in Silence — A Cat Among Singing PlantsA special solo installation by Taiwanese artist and illustrator Chen Yu-Lin, known for his delicate visual storytelling rooted in nature, culture, and the environment, and her collaborations with global luxury brands including Louis Vuitton. The space will feature illustrations, ceramics, dried flowers, and furniture arranged as an intimate personal world — a quiet, contemplative counterpoint to the vibrant energy of character IP and art toy culture across the rest of the fair.International Artists — Many Visiting Thailand for the First TimeTHE POP 2026 has assembled an international roster that is rare to see together in one country, let alone one venue:

- Space Rabbit Studio (US) — an entirely handmade studio with extremely limited output, visiting Thailand for the first time.- Fools Paradise (Hong Kong) — one of the most influential names in designer toys, bringing three of its leading artists: Alan Ng (founder), Matt Gondek (featured in The Andy Warhol Museum documentary, 2022), and Hunter Xu (exhibited at Art Basel Hong Kong and CAFA Art Museum). Each is producing Thailand-exclusive or first-release works for THE POP.

- Takuma Fujisaki (Japan) — celebrated for his pipe cleaner sculpture practice, with past collaborations including BEAMS JAPAN, Daikanyama Tsutaya, and ComplexCon HK. Represented exclusively by ARTOX GROUP.

- Unbox Industries (Hong Kong) — debuting a Thailand-first Greenie coral glow edition by Thai designer Too Natthapong (Pakka7).

- Tahilalats (Indonesia) — with over 6 million Instagram followers, one of Southeast Asia's most-followed creative IPs.- Fumeancat (Taiwan) — releasing a Thailand-exclusive collectible card from the iconic "Huang Ah-Ma" cat IP.

Thai Talent on the Global StageTHE POP 2026 places Thailand's own creative talent at the center of the platform — sharing the stage with international icons:

- Tum Ulit — one of Thailand's most visible illustrators, with a strong cross-generational following.

- Nual the Dog — a beloved Thai character IP with over one million followers across social platforms.

- Panpan Yeeyee, Knn Five, Cheesy Duck, and a curated selection of emerging Thai artists.

An Immersive Four-Day ExperienceBeyond the showcase, THE POP 2026 is designed as a fully immersive cultural experience:

- Shirt screen-printing workshops with Epson, featuring artist-inspired character designs.

- A Blacklight Room creative installation, in partnership with Posca.

- Large-scale character sculptures, photo moments, and immersive zones throughout the venue.

- A playful rest area designed by Give Me Museum.

- Artist Talks, Fan Sign Sessions, and a live wood carving show by Henky.- Lucky Draw giveaways featuring THE POP's own limited-edition collectibles.

- A mini-concert by Thai band Slur.

Galleries, Studios & Brand PartnersTHE POP 2026 brings together leading galleries, studios, and creative brands including M Contemporary (Mr. Do Nothing), River City Bangkok (The Gallery Shop 3-5 Arts), Apportfolio, Toca Loca, Unbox Industries, ULIT House (Tum Ulit), and Fumeancats — among many others.Bangkok, Asia's Next Creative CapitalWith Asia's character IP and collectibles market growing at unprecedented speed, THE POP 2026 represents more than a single event — it is a statement of intent. Bangkok is positioning itself as the natural hub where artists, brands, collectors, and audiences meet, and where Thai creators can step onto a regional stage at home.
