This year, the grant's scope has been expanded to cover visual arts biennales, as well as biennales and festivals in architecture, design, and fashion. This expansion provides a comprehensive platform for artistic expression across disciplines including visual arts, music, literature, performing arts, architecture, design, and film.

Danny Whitehead, Director of the British Council Thailand, said: "The Connections Through Culture programme is central to the British Council's mission to facilitate international cultural exchange. It remains a vital channel for building meaningful, long-term collaboration between Thailand and the UK, enabling artists and creative professionals to collaborate and realise their creative visions."

The 2026 application round is open to artists, creative professionals, cultural practitioners, creative networks, organisations, festivals, and biennales. To be eligible, projects must demonstrate a creative partnership featuring at least one UK collaborator and one legally registered partner from a participating country.
