TDBKK is back and more powerful than ever, with TouchDesigner Bangkok Meetup Vol. 2 or 'TDBKK 2026' slated to be Southeast Asia's largest gathering for the creative technology community to connect with global networks. This vibrant event will transform Bangkok into a creative hub where artists, designers, technology developers, and drivers of the creative industries from across the region can exchange their knowledge, experiment with new concepts, and expand their collaboration through workshops, exhibitions, and live audiovisual performances. The five-day event will run from 30 July to 4 August 2026 at theGoethe-Institut Thailand and the Bangkok Kunsthalle.
Understanding TouchDesigner & Bangkok Meetup Initiative
TouchDesigner is an interactive program for producing real-time creative multimedia content, including motion graphics. Developed by Derivative, this node-based platform replaces text-based coding with visual programming, enabling artists and designers to seamlessly connect visuals, sound, sensors, and hardware in their creative projects.
TDBKK 2026 is organized by TDBKK & Zdepth Studio with the Goethe-Institut Thailand as the Official Organising Partner, Derivative as a key partner, and Bangkok Kunsthalle as the Venue Partner. Learn Directly from International Creative Technology Pioneer
One of this year's highlights is a series of workshops led by Dan Molnar (Function Store), a renowned Berlin-based artist, a co-founder of DEREAL Studio, and a leading educator in the global TouchDesigner community. Known for using sound, light, and real-time processing as creative media, his work spans installation art and immersive performances, from experimental spaces to international productions. His two workshops will be held on 30-31 July 2026, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the Goethe-Institut Thailand, with just 16 seats available per session.
- Workshop 1: Intro to Interactive Visuals & Sensors with TouchDesigner (4 hours): Teaching how to create interactive visuals and connect sensors for interactive art projects, this workshop is suitable for practitioners with a basic understanding of TouchDesigner. Participants are required to bring their own laptop with TouchDesigner installed, a three-button mouse, and a built-in or USB webcam.
- Workshop 2: Interconnected Audiovisuals with TouchDesigner and Bitwig (4 hours): Teaching how to integrate real-time visuals and audio using TouchDesigner and Bitwig Studio, it is suitable for practitioners with a basic understanding of TouchDesigner and audio software. Participants are required to bring their own laptop with TouchDesigner and Bitwig Studio installed, headphones, and a three-button mouse.
Explore Creative Technology Future Through Dialogue & Knowledge Exchange

TDBKK 2026 includes a panel discussion titled "Positioning Bangkok as a Southeast Asian Hub for Creative Tech." On the stage will be 10-15 panelists from the art and creative technology fields, such as Patrick Hartono (a lecturer and an artist from RMIT Vietnam, and a Goldsmiths alumnus) and Dan Molnar. Held on Saturday, 1 August 2026 between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, this panel discussion also features:

Following the panel discussion, the venue will transform into a stage for Live A/V Performances, where artists will use visuals, sound, and real-time processing as a storytelling medium to create immersive experiences unique to the moment, inviting audiences to explore new possibilities in technology-driven contemporary art.
Bangkok Kunsthalle: Where Artists Expand Boundaries of Art & Technology

From 3 to 4 August 2026, TDBKK 2026 will move to the Bangkok Kunsthalle, hosting Artist Talks and Live A/V Performances by leading artists from not just Asia but also other parts of the world. Exploring the relationships between visuals, sound, the human body, and digital systems, the participating artists are:
- Pepepepebrick: Hailing from Taiwan, this interactive designer and engineer specializes in body tracking, motion capture, creative coding, and audio-visual interaction.
- Kohui: Hailing from Seoul, this artist employs generative algorithms to explore the relationships between nature and technology.
- Plyzitron: Hailing from Berlin, this multimedia artist blends generative art, interactivity, and digital aesthetics in her visually captivating and thought-provoking work, inviting audiences to reflect on the future of the creative industry.
Throughout the event, over 20 artists, performers, and speakers will participate in the program to reflect the diversity of the international creative technology scene, while opening a space for networking, exchange, and collaboration.
