FP IGFIXED offers two-unit classes: the Accumulation Class (FP IGFIXED-A) and the Automatic Redemption Class (FP IGFIXED-R).
The fund invests primarily in investment-grade fixed-income instruments issued in the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). It maintains net exposure to fixed-income securities of no less than 80% of its net asset value. First Plus Asset Management Pte. Ltd. has been appointed as the fund's Outsource Fund Manager.
The target portfolio focuses on floating-rate ABS, comprising 71.2% Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), 15.6% Consumer ABS, 10.6% Auto ABS, and 2.6% Equipment ABS.
As of 31 July 2026, the portfolio offered a Yield to Maturity of approximately 5.5%-6.0% per annum, with an average credit quality ranging from AAA to A. With a low duration of only 0.08 years, the portfolio is expected to have limited sensitivity to interest-rate volatility, making it potentially suitable for periods when interest rates are stable or trending upward. Its Weighted Average Life (WAL) of approximately 1-2 years also provides greater flexibility compared with longer-term fixed-income instruments.
A key advantage of ABS is its ring-fenced asset structure and tranche hierarchy, under which investors in senior tranches receive priority in repayment. Returns are generated from the cash flows of underlying assets, including residential mortgages, auto loans and consumer loans. Over the past decade, ABS has demonstrated a low correlation of 0.06 with the S&P 500, potentially offering diversification benefits relative to equity markets.
Australia is the largest structured credit market in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding agency mortgage-backed securities. New issuance in the Australian market reached AUD 77 billion in 2025 and AUD 44.7 billion in the first half of 2026.
The fund follows a rigorous three-step investment process:
- Pre-screening: Initial assessment of investment opportunities.
- Investment execution: External legal due diligence and approval by the Investment Committee.
- Ongoing monitoring: Continuous oversight through a dashboard system and AI technology.
FP IGFIXED is classified as a Risk Level 4: Moderate-Low Risk fund. It is suitable for investors seeking returns higher than bank deposits, who can accept moderate investment volatility and foreign-exchange risk. The recommended investment horizon is at least 3-6 months.
The fund is not suitable for investors seeking guaranteed returns or full principal protection.
