Pataya Food Group (PFG), owner of Nautilus, Mongkut Talay, Sea Crown, Regalos, and Remy, announces a strategic partnership with Umios Corporation (Japan) to accelerate growth across Asia. The alliance combines PFG's strengths in brand building and channel management with Umios Group's global network and industry expertise. Together, the companies aim to support PFG's ambition of achieving average annual growth of 10%, guided by the shared mission of "Enrich People's Life."
Ms. Sudatip Kiatsrichart, PFG's CEO-designate, said the company is building on more than four decades of seafood-manufacturing experience as it evolves into an integrated food company spanning product development, innovation, manufacturing, distribution and brand building. Its portfolio includes well-established brands such as Nautilus, Mongkut Talay and Sea Crown, alongside pet-food brands Regalos and Remy. PFG has also expanded into health and nutrition and pet food, responding to growing consumer demand for nutrition, convenience and sustainability.
In 2025, PFG generated approximately USD 220 million in revenue, or more than THB 7 billion, with approximately 65% generated from international markets and 40% from branded business, respectively. The company is targeting average annual growth of 10% over the next three years, supported by innovation and international market expansion, with a greater focus on higher-value products.
PFG's growth plan is aligned with two key mega trends, including the rising global consumption of protein. The tuna segment in the Asia-Pacific region is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.07% from 2025 to 2030. In Thailand, AC Nielsen reported that the canned tuna market grew by approximately 8.5% year-on-year.
Another key trend is pet humanization, as consumers increasingly view pets as members of the family. According to Euromonitor International, Thailand's pet industry is the largest in Southeast Asia, valued at more than USD 1.5 billion, or over THB 48 billion, and Thailand ranks as the world's second-largest exporter of pet food. The sector is growing at approximately 8-10% annually.
Umios Corporation, formerly known as Maruha Nichiro Corporation, brings more than 145 years of experience across fisheries, aquaculture, food processing and distribution to the partnership Umios Group has a network across more than 70 countries globally. Umios' strength is reflected in its 2025 financial performance (USD 7.34 billion). Umios Group has decided to invest a 25.1% stake in PFG, with the aim of supporting OBM growth in Asia.
This strategic alliance directly advances PFG's expansion strategy—strengthening its core seafood operations while accelerating growth in high-margin categories, including pet care and functional health and nutrition, across key Asian markets.
"At PFG, we believe sustainable growth extends beyond financial performance. It means growing together with consumers, partners and society," Ms. Sudatip added. "This alliance represents a shared journey to help shape the future of the food industry through innovation and responsibility, guided by our common mission: 'Enrich People's Life'."
