KGH Introduces "KUO" A New Lifestyle Franchise Brand That Brings Japanese Standards and Thai Hospitality to Mid-Scale Hotels
  • KGH expands its portfolio with a flexible franchise model designed to increase online revenues and operational efficiency without heavy capital investment.
  • Supports KGH's Vision 2035 to manage 1,000 properties across 10 countries worldwide.

BANGKOK - 5 November 2026: Koko Global Hospitality (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (KGH), a Thai-based hospitality management firm founded by a Japanese entrepreneur and committed to delivering Thai hospitality with Japanese standards, has officially announced the launch of the KUO brand. As KGH's first franchise lifestyle brand, KUO is designed to offer independent 2- and 3-star hotel owners a lower-cost way to rebrand at a time when capital investment and traditional bank financing remain limited.

Building on over a decade of success in hotel operations across Thailand, Japan, and the Philippines, KGH developed KUO to address key challenges faced by mid-scale hotel operators. Unlike traditional full-management models that require extensive building overhauls and complete staff takeovers, KUO allows hotel owners to maintain control of their own day-to-day operations while benefiting from KGH's centralized expertise, distribution channels, and revenue optimization systems.

A Reliable Companion: "Simple Live, Simple Life"

KUO is based on the belief that a hotel should be more than just a place to sleep. It should be a "reliable companion" that welcomes guests with open arms and dependable warmth. The name KUO blends KGH's heritage ("Ko" from Koko) with the Japanese concept of "Shinkou" (??), signifying deep connection, partnership, and friendship. Grounded in the brand tagline "Simple Live, Simple Life," KUO offers a guest experience that is simple, comforting, and uncomplicated.

The brand story comes to life through two lovable mascots. First is "KUO," an Akita Inu dog that represents "Premium Sincerity." Although the brand operates in the 2- to 3-star lifestyle segment, the Akita's noble stature helps to strengthen guests' perception that the brand delivers high standards, security, and heartfelt Japanese hospitality. The second mascot accompanying KUO is "Bobo," a delightfully wonky single sock with mismatched button eyes. Bobo brings a derpy charm and playful personality to the hotel environment. Designed with hand-drawn, lightweight strokes and a soft palette featuring merino, sand, and avocado colors, KUO presents a warm, relaxing, and welcoming atmosphere for all travelers.

Mr. Rei Matsuda, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Koko Global Hospitality (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, "Over the past 10 years, KGH has proven that centralized operations and Kaizen discipline can drive property profit margins to 56%, well above the industry average of 25% to 35%. With KUO, we are introducing a 'manchising' model that combines the strengths of centralized management support with franchise flexibility. We are making our proven revenue engine and operational frameworks available to independent hotel owners who want to grow their revenues without losing control of their daily operations. KUO represents a new way of rebranding that is simple, cost-effective, and performance-driven."

Mr. Bhawat Peanpensiriwong, Head of Business Development, Design and Branding at Koko Global Hospitality, said, "Mid-scale hotel owners today face double pressure from a slow recovery in tourism and restricted access to capital, making major building renovations practically impossible. KUO was crafted specifically to bridge this gap by offering a warm, lovable, and recognizable lifestyle brand identity without the burden of high Capex or complex design rules. By combining the charming story of KUO and Bobo with our 'Simple Live, Simple Life' concept, we give independent hotels a fresh, modern image that instantly connects with today's travelers while keeping investment low."

Three Pillars to Drive Hotel Success

KUO delivers comprehensive support through three core operational pillars:

  • Online Sales Growth & Revenue Management: Dedicated account managers oversee Online Travel Agency (OTA) listings, rate shoppers, and STR benchmarking (a market performance report comparing occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR against local competitors). They implement daily dynamic pricing strategies to optimize Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy. The package includes full integration with top-tier channel managers such as Little Hotelier at no additional software cost.
  • Cluster Social Media Marketing: Efficient, shared social media marketing strategies designed to maximize the impact of marketing spend and boost the visibility of properties.
  • Operational Standard Guidelines: Professional standard operating procedures (SOPs), 10+ daily routine checklists, and on-site launch training that allow owners to systematically upgrade their service delivery without creating operational templates from scratch.

Mr. Pattrawut Singkhonkaew, Manager of Revenue & Marketing at Koko Global Hospitality, commented on the revenue strategy: "The key to driving growth for mid-scale hotels today lies in data-driven operations and precision tools. KUO brings international-standard revenue management expertise directly to independent hotels, implementing daily dynamic pricing across OTAs. By combining seamless integration with top-tier channel managers such as Little Hotelier at no extra software cost with efficient cluster social media marketing, we optimize Average Daily Rate (ADR) and maximize profitability for hotel owners without increasing their fixed overheads."

Rewarding Quality with the "Bobo Happy Score"

To incentivize operational excellence, KGH has introduced the Bobo Happy Score. Under KUO's fee structure, which consists of a special launch Joining Fee of THB 200,000 (reduced from THB 400,000 until the end of 2026) and a base Monthly Service Fee of THB 20,000 plus 5% of online revenue, hotels that consistently achieve top guest review scores on OTAs are rewarded with reduced monthly revenue fees:

  • Platinum Tier (Score 9.5 - 10.0): Revenue fee reduced to 3%.
  • Gold Tier (Score 8.5 - 9.4): Revenue fee reduced to 4%.
  • Silver Tier (Score 7.5 - 8.4): Standard revenue fee of 5%.

The launch of KUO marks a major milestone toward KGH's strategic Vision 2035, which aims to expand the group's footprint to 1,000 managed and partner properties across 10 countries on six continents.
