Mr. Martin brings with him almost 30 years of hospitality experience. Starting his career in the Czech Republic in food and beverage, Mr. Martin then progressed his career through numerous operational roles across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Russia.
In his most recent role, Mr. Martin has been General Manager of the InterContinental Moscow, a position he held for the last 5 ? years. During his tenure at the InterContinental Moscow, through innovative revenue strategies and strong financial acumen, Martin achieved record profitability for three consecutive years, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Whilst under his leadership, InterContinental Moscow achieved numerous awards such as the Best 5 Star Hotel in the Russian Federation, and Martin himself was awarded the Best General Manager in the Russian Federation granted by the Russian Hospitality Awards in 2019.
Mr. Martin holds a degree in Hospitality Management and beyond his mother tongue of Czech he is also fluent in the Russian and English languages.
In his spare time Martin likes to reminisce about his early days as a professional Ice hockey player, and he still wields the hockey stick for fun. He is focused on improving his golf handicap and enjoys spicy food, which he will have no problem finding in Bangkok.
