At the Embassies @ SET event, diplomatic professionals from embassies in Thailand and Thai embassies overseas who play significant roles in connecting and providing trade and investment information in each country have been invited to receive first-hand information and data on the potential of the Thai capital market, the outstanding sustainability development and the resilience of Thai listed firms, with wider perspectives of investment opportunities in Thailand and potential business networking among the countries to attract foreign investors to the Thai capital market.
"The event was well-received by the participants. Significantly, most diplomats paid special attention to listed companies' overseas investment generating revenue for them and the eye-popping IPO numbers. This was a good opportunity to exchange viewpoints and opinions with representatives of various countries which will benefit the development of future products and services to meet the demand of foreign fundraisers and investors," added Pakorn.
This "Embassies @ SET" event, second in the series, was organized online on June 14, 2021, participated by 84 ambassadors, commercial attaches, trade commissioners and diplomats from 40 countries. It was a great honor to welcome 17 ambassadors and charges d'affaires from 11 embassies in Thailand(Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Mongolia, Norway, Peru, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Switzerland) and 6 Thai embassies overseas (Abu Dhabi, Canberra, Manila, Riyadh, Rome and Singapore).
