Following the announcement, HYBS said, "We are honored and excited to be one of Spotify's RADAR Thailand Artists of 2022 and to be on the same list as so many amazing emerging artists. As a global audio platform, we know that Spotify and its RADAR program can help us reach more listeners globally and open more doors of opportunity."

Connecting and growing new Thai artists with worldwide audiences

Through the program's ongoing playlisting, marketing initiatives, and borderless reach, emerging Thai artists have been able to shine on both the local and global stage, allowing them to find, connect, and grow their fanbase - wherever they may be.

"What's unique about the RADAR program is that it allows for an international cultural exchange of music and genres, while promoting and supporting emerging artists at the same time. I hope that by being part of RADAR, people in and outside of Thailand will get to know and appreciate my music", shared Bell Warisara.

Since featured as a RADAR Thailand artist last year, R&B pop duo LUSS has seen a 2x increase in their number of listeners within a month of releasing their new track หยอก หยอก. With the song featured on RADAR Thailand playlist, LUSS was able to reach more potential new fans, expanding their listenership and boosting their single up Spotify Thailand's Charts to Top Five.

Supporting the huge potential of Thailand's music scene

"With Thailand's music industry showing great creativity and vibrancy, we are excited to build on its huge potential by championing local artists at all stages of their careers. Spotify is committed to artist development and connecting fans with the music they love, through our platform and programs. We look forward to elevating the local music scene and seeing this year's RADAR artists grow through borderless access and greater discovery," says Kossy Ng, Head of Music, Spotify Asia.

One of the significant ways Spotify helps boost talent discovery and new fanbases is through playlists like RADAR and other local playlists. To elevate the local music scene, Spotify featured more than 33,000 Thai artists in editorial playlists for the first time between 2020 and 2021.

Spotify also provides tools and tips empowering artists to further succeed, such as "Spotify for Artists", a platform to get the tools they need to develop their fan base, where creators gain insight into their own music and fans, and learn how to leverage this knowledge to advance their career.

Bell expressed, "Having a global audio platform like Spotify that supports emerging Thai artists is extremely important because such opportunities do not come easily for local musicians. As a new artist in the music industry, I want people to be able to hear and resonate with my music and the messages I work so hard to share. So, having this support from Spotify to reach audiences across the globe is very exciting, and I am very grateful for it."
