"Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank (SME Development Bank, SME D Bank)", "Kenan Foundation Asia" and leading e-commerce platform provider "Shopee Thailand" have been implementing the project "SME Digital Market", in order to enhance digital-marketing skills of Thai entrepreneurs' for activating online business income generation, expanding new-age market and keeping digitally-driven business trends.
Thai entrepreneur participants have been getting knowledge-upskills through online training and business counselling sessions through "SME-D courses and SME-D Clinic". The project was designed to ensure that Thai SMEs understand how to use various e-commerce platforms especially Shopee, Google, and Facebook for online business enhancing income generation.
The project participants will be entitled to a variety of privileges by Shopee Thailand e.g. receiving business advice for creating the online shop, presenting the products, using selling promotional tools and stimulating product purchase by offering 15% discount voucher during August to October 2022. Since May 2022 until now, the project gets a good response from Thai SMEs which there are more than 600 registrants in five batches and it is expected that when the project is completed, there will be at least 400 online stores are growing in business.
