Mr. Thee Permpongpanth, Senior Vice President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd, said, "The growth rate of the Mazda vehicle sales in August 2022 was 50% and increased in all models when compared year on year. It can be divided into 1,408 units of Mazda2 (46% increase), 117 units of Mazda3 (23% increase), 456 units of Mazda CX-3 (61% increase), 381 units of Mazda CX-30 (16% increase), 93 units of Mazda CX-5 (116% increase), 35 units of Mazda CX-8 (35% increase), 227 units of Mazda BT-50 (224% increase) and 1 unit of Mazda MX-5, respectively. As a result, the total sales of Mazda vehicle in August was 2,718 units.
From the sales performance of Mazda vehicles in August 2022, the passenger car Mazda2 is still being the most popular model among customers despite there are new models introduced into the market. However, with its outstanding features over competitors namely, the responsive driving performance, fuel economy, the premium quality of materials and the refinement of production, as a result, the Mazda2 is being the city car that meet the need of customers. The Mazda2 is also a value-for-money model featuring SKYACTIV technology that provides fun-driving experience, comfortable and safety in all driving situation. The features equipped in this model includes 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, the GVC plus, 6-way power adjustable driver seat with 2-position memory. This is the first time that this standard equipment has been equipped in a compact car. This new model provides customers a fun-driving experience with Active Driving Display, Sport Paddle Shift, Cruise Control, Wireless Charger and Wireless Apple CarPlay, utility and fully equipped with features and technology. Also, maintenance cost for this model is low. As a result, the Mazda2 is being the most popular model and meet all needs of customers.

Meanwhile, the sales volume of Mazda CX-5 has doubled as well. From the increase of sales volume, it is a positive sign that the automotive market is recovering. Especially in September, it will be more noticeable because the shortage of semiconductor for production in the past has begun to ease. This has a positive effect on Mazda in the production of various car models. In particular, the Mazda CX-8 crossover SUV, which has just been launched recently and has received more than 1,000 bookings from customers. Mazda is now accelerating to produce this model to deliver to customers as quickly as possible." Mr. Thee added.
