Under this development project, EXIM Thailand will apply cutting-edge digital technology and innovation in the design of new architecture to accommodate the transition to cloud technology. This covers development of its loan origination and operation system, such as interest rate and installment payment setting, collection of interest, opening/closing of deposit accounts, checking of balance, cashier cheque proceeding, and services otherwise. Application programming interface (API) gateway capabilities with external systems, e.g. Open API or REST API, and connectivity with government agencies and alliance networks will also be augmented to enable real-time, in-depth and multi-dimensional access. This will efficiently support entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs, in capturing updated information and developments alongside financial facilities easily, promptly and safely on digital platforms, thus uplifting Thai entrepreneurs' competitiveness and building fresh opportunities for their business expansion overseas.
"EXIM Thailand's development of core banking system and shifting of the IT architecture to cloud technology aligns with our strategic plan and vision to level up our service excellence so that our clients can keep abreast of emerging circumstances as well as financial services in a quick, convenient and secure manner. It will also serve as a key mechanism in supporting and growing Thai entrepreneurs and Thai economy sustainably in the digital world of today where businesses need to rely on updated news and information in order to broaden their competitive edge and gain advantage over their competitors to a greater extent," added Dr. Rak.
