Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant at Shangri-La Bangkok introduces a brand-new menu created by our Executive Chinese Chef Tan Kwang Aik to bring gastronomes the refined flavours of Cantonese cuisine. Showcasing many dishes from his new inspirations, Chef Tan will delight Chinese food lovers with his take of traditional Cantonese with a touch of modern flair.

Chef Tan, who has more than 20 years of culinary expertise in Southeast Asia, is renowned for his visually stunning techniques and devotion to traditional Cantonese roots. During his professional culinary journey, he established himself in Jakarta as the Executive Chinese Chef at one of the city's most well-known restaurants, where he worked with a consulting chef with two Michelin stars. As a result of Chef Tan's creativity and determination, the restaurant was awarded "Best Chinese Restaurant" during his three-year tenure.

At Shang Palace, Chef Tan puts his efforts on design and innovation to create the new menu with the support of his culinary team. His creations are divided into 14 series, which include Chef's Recommendations; Signature Dishes; Appetizer; Barbecue Corner; Soup; Abalone, Sea cucumber, Bird's Nest; Live Seafood and Live Fish; Seafood; Poultry; Beef, Lamb, Pork; Tofu; Vegetables; Rice and Noodles; and Desserts.

The Chef's Recommendations section is at the core of the menu and one which Chef Tan is most proud of. Highly recommended dishes include Scallop Truffle (THB 1,888++), beautifully presented with premium ingredients including black truffles, diver scallops, morel mushrooms, portobello mushrooms, and caramelized walnuts. Making this a truly unique experience.

The Slow-cooked Whole Grouper Casserole (THB 1,888++) and Oatmeal Prawn (THB 728++). These heartwarming home style dishes will have you savour every bite. Jasmine Tea Smoked Free Range Chicken (THB 688++) is not an ordinary dish. The aroma of Jasmine Tea combined with the Ginger Dipping Sauce makes this dish simply stand out. Onion Lobster (THB 3,998++), a must-try creation that is full of "wow" factors. The luscious lobster meat baked to perfection with superior light soy onion oil, a true delight for the palate.

Your familiar and favourite dishes like Crab Sticky Rice, Abalone Fish Maw Soup and Traditional 'Peking Style" Oven Glazed Goose remains in place as staples of Shang Palace offerings.

Located on the third floor of the hotel's Shangri-La Wing, Shang Palace is located in elegant surroundings with hand-painted silk murals adorning its walls. It serves authentic Cantonese delicacies and regional dishes with vegetarian options, including the popular weekday all-you-can-eat dim sum luncheon that offers more than 37 choices from which to choose. New dishes including Appetizers, Congee and Main Course dishes that have been added to the all-you-can-eat dim sum menu are Marinated Jelly Fish with Sesame Oil Dressing, Cucumber Salad "Sichuan Style, Mapo Tofu with Minced Pork - Sichuan Style, Braised Chinese Spinach with Garlic and Superior Broth and Congee with Dice Duck.

Guests may enjoy their favourite dishes with a cup of tea by selecting their preferred flavour from a variety of rare tea leaves from China beyond the popular oolong and green tea and all premium Chinese tea.
