After a hiatus of three years, the popular Clutter Sale is back as per popular demand. Among the early organisers of a flea market for charity, since 2006 the Clutter Sale has helped to raise over eight million baht for cancer research with a one-day fun event to help people get rid of unused belongings.
Who doesn't have no-longer needed clothes, bags, fashion accessories, kitchenware, decorative items, toys, books and the like? Remove the clutter and stuff you don't use and convert this into cash for yourself, or for charity, and have fun doing it! Join the "14th Clutter Sale for Charity", organised by the NewsMakers, a group of media veterans, PR and communications professionals and celebrities.
This year the event will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. In past years the Clutter Sale, an annual event, attracted hundreds of bargain hunters on the lookout for treasures, including branded items, sold by socialites, celebrities, members of the expat community and others, with the intention of contributing towards a worthy cause. This year's beneficiary is Chulalongkorn Hospital's Genetic Cancer Research Centre under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross.
Few walk away without finding something they like from the 70-plus tables as well as the Designer Corner of luxury designer brands at bargain prices and the Charity Corner of donated items with rock-bottom price tags. Also awaiting shoppers is a raffle with a one-in-four chance to win amazing prizes, for a donation of only Bht 50 each. Through the years this event has become not just a shopping extravaganza, but also a fun social affair where you need to be seen!
Interested prospective vendors are requested to book their tables early, as booking is on a first come, first served basis. Vendors with personal clutter are required to make a donation of Bht 2,500 per table while semi-business vendors' donation per table is Bht 3,500.
