Riding on its success with private electric vehicles (EVs), which is marked by overwhelming purchase orders for all models it has launched and the many awards it has won, Rever Automotive Company Limited or Thailand BYD's Authorized Distributor is now expanding its business empire to commercial vehicle sector. Rever Automotive Company Limited, led by its CEO Mr. Pratarnwong Phornprapha and its VICE CEO Ms. Pratarnporn Phornprapha, has decided to enter the commercial vehicle sector because it has recognized the importance of transport industry that needs various types of vehicles namely electric trucks, electric tractors, electric buses, and electric commercial vehicles. To support its move, the company has decided to rename Siam Advanced Technology Relationship Company Limited, which has distributed commercial vehicles under the world's leading new energy vehicle brand BYD in the Thai market, as Rever Commercial Vehicles Company Limited. Rever Automotive will manage Rever Commercial Vehicles in accordance with requirements associated with government's promotion of EVs and in response to entrepreneurs' interest in switching from combustion vehicles to EVs.
Rever Automotive has already declared its intention to apply for the government incentives for EV promotion with Rever Commercial Vehicles signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Excise Department. Under the MOU, government incentives are granted to buyers of Rever Commercial Vehicles' BYD E6. Today (28 Mar 2023), a ceremony was held at Function Six on 6th floor of Siam @ Siam Design Hotel Bangkok to officially hand over the MOU to signing parties. Mr. Nattakorn Uthensut, Principal Advisor on Excise Control System Development, Mr. Kriengkrai Pattanaporn, Deputy Director General represented the government at the ceremony that were also attended by Mr. Ke Yubin, General Manager of BYD Auto (Thailand) Company Limited, Mr. Pratarnwong Phornprapha, CEO of Rever Commercial Vehicles Company Limited, and Ms. Pratarnporn Phornprapha, VICE CEO of Rever Commercial Vehicles.
Mr. Pratarnwong Phornprapha, CEO of Rever Commercial Vehicles Company Limited, says, "We have expressed our intention to apply for government incentives for EV promotion to underline Rever Automotive's commitment to promoting the use of all types of EV in Thailand and to back our expansion to electric commercial vehicle sector. We have now renamed Siam Advanced Technology Relationship Company Limited, the distributor of BYD's electric commercial vehicles, as Rever Commercial Vehicles Company Limited and taken government incentives for EV promotion in support of our moves. Entrepreneurs who are interested in switching from combustion vehicles to EVs will also enjoy the benefits of government incentives".
Ms. Pratarnporn Phornprapha, VICE CEO of Rever Commercial Vehicles Company Limited, adds that, "By officially expressing an intention to apply for government incentives for EV promotion to the Excise Department, our customers or entrepreneurs who are interested in using EVs will enjoy bigger privileges. "BYD E6 car" is a five-seater EV. This model comes to the market with a certified driving range of 520 kilometers and the load capacity of 450 kilograms. Also available in Thailand now is "BYD T3 van", which has a certified driving range of 275 kilometers and can handle the load of well over 700 kilograms. Its load space is 1,900-mm-long, 1,390-mm-wide, and 1,200-mm-high. Its wheelbase is 2,725 millimeters. Interested customers can explore these models at more than 70 BYD showrooms across Thailand today.

"Q1R Tractor" has a certified driving range of up to 200 kilometers after being fully charged. Its load capacity is well over 40,000 kilograms. "Electric bus" by BYD can support public transport, with a certified driving range of 250 kilometer per single charge. These models will be launched to the Thai market later this year so that Thais can fully experience EVs and step into EV Era together.
