Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, was presented the Bangkok Post CEO of the Year 2023 in Greenovation Leadership award from Krisada Chinavicharana, Deputy Minister of Finance, at the "Bangkok Post CEO of the Year 2023" awards presentation. The awards were selected by the editors of Bangkok Post and organized by Bangkok Post at Centara Grand at Central World.
Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, in his role as leader of the Bangchak Group, has been recognized for spearheading the transformation of the company into a new paradigm. He has introduced various innovations that have earned Bangchak Group acclaim for its leadership in energy transition and innovation. This includes expanding the renewable energy business, promoting SynBio technology knowledge in the country, co-founding the Carbon Markets Club, and leading the clean energy fuel business, such as being the first to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), launching the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) service station, pioneering an electric motorcycle rental platform with battery swapping stations "Winnonie", and taking a leading role in building a low-carbon social ecosystem.
Chaiwat expressed his appreciation to the management and staff who contributed to the growth and success of Bangchak, making the company a well- recognized and established organization. He also mentioned the release of the short film "Regenerative Soul" #MirrorandFlower on the occasion of their 39th anniversary, which he hopes will create an inspiration to the younger generation.
