Thaioil awarded the Certificate of Carbon Footprint of Products for 2023

Recently, Thai Oil Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Sermsak Nuntapong, Acting Vice President-Quality Management, was awarded the Certificate of Carbon Footprint of Products (CPF) for nine products in 2023 from Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization). The certificate was presented by Mr. Kiatchai Maitriwong, Executive Director of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization. This ceremony took place on the 9th floor of the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty on Chaeng Wattana Road, Laski, Bangkok.

On this occasion, Thaioil certified the carbon footprint of products with a total of 9 products, including 1. LPG, 2. Mogas, 3. Light Naphtha, 4. Platformate, 5. Jet, 6. Kerosene, 7. Diesel, 8. Fuel oil and 9. Long Residue. Moreover, Thaioil has further elevated the Company's environmental management to achieve Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the future. The Company has set targets of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero GHG Emissions by 2060. This is in line with the Net Zero GHG Emissions "3Cs" strategy, which consists of C1 : Cut Down Existing Emission by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the current process of production; C2 : Compensate Residual Emissions by offsetting the remaining greenhouse gas emissions through reforestation and conservation of forested areas, aiming to capture carbon in the atmosphere according to principles of Nature-Based Solutions, which includes compensation residual emissions through the utilization of Carbon Credits; and C3 : Control Future Emission by controlling future emissions through seeking investment opportunities towards low-carbon product businesses.
