Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd. recently collaborated with the Asian Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP Foundation) and other partners to carry on "The 3rd Bridgestone Road Safety Program" and built a network of Bridgestone's Youth Champions across generations, showcasing another crucial contributor to cultivate leadership and road safety awareness among schools and advocating road safety practices to their peers, families, communities, and other youths. Simultaneously, Thai Bridgestone handovered road modifications to a pilot school in Bangkok, Na Luang School, Thung Khru District, aligning with "Bridgestone E8 Commitment", specifically to "Empowerment" to promote dignity, equality, and integrity to increase accessibility for all, and "Ease" to bring comfort and peace of mind to mobility life, as well as give back to Thai society by promoting and preventing road accidents for sustainable mobility safety. These efforts also aligned with "Bangkok's Nine Good Policy" in Good Security and Good Transport to bring safer mobility together by reducing road accidents and elevating safety levels to meet international standards.

Mr. Keiji Chuma, Managing Director of Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd., stated, "At Bridgestone, we place trust in the power of the young generations to drive a safer mobility society. Today, I'm glad to be here as the representative of Bridgestone and meet with all of you at Na Luang School, you are crucial contributors to the success of Bridgestone Road Safety Program, a global initiative aimed at fostering road safety awareness worldwide. In Thailand, we have continued to expand Bridgestone Road Safety Program for 3 years and on-going which selected 4 schools in 4 provinces to promote safe road behaviors among teachers and students, which are 1. Khlung Ratchadapisek School, Chanthaburi province, 2. Ban Luang Wittaya School, Nakhon Pathom province 3. Ratchasima Wittayalai School, Nakhon Ratchasima province, and 4. Na Luang School, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. And we have finally selected Na Luang School to become a pilot school for road modifications. Bridgestone has been using the Star Ratings for Schools system from iRAP or SR4S as "Bangkok's Nine Good Policy" to make the surrounding area to be much safer. It has been shown a good step for Bridgestone and the government sector to bring safer mobility together by reducing road accidents and elevating safety levels to meet international standards. Since 2021, the project has involved 12 schools, 24 Bridgestone's Youth Champions, and over 600 students in safety education. Bridgestone is moving forward to expand the Bridgestone Road Safety Program nationwide to more schools to promote and prevent road accidents for a safe and sustainable mobility society for everyone."

Associate Professor Wisanu Subsompon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, revealed, "I am delighted to join today's ceremony for the 3rd Bridgestone Road Safety Program and Road Modifications Handover to Na Luang School through the support from Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP), relevant government and private sector entities. The project aims to enhance road safety awareness among students, teachers, and the community around Na Luang School. The traffic in Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is congested due to transportation and travelling. Some road users exhibit recklessness, and a lack of traffic discipline leads to accidents and property damage, injuries, and fatalities. This project significantly benefits the youth and our future generations, instilling a sense of responsibility and discipline in road usage. It aligns with the "Bangkok's Nine Good Policy" in Good Security and Good Transport. "

Mrs. Ratanawadee Hemniti Winther, Chairperson of AIP Foundation, explained the importance of road modification for the school under the 3rd Bridgestone Road Safety Program, "I believe that road accidents can occur at any moment because everyone's daily life is invariably connected to constant travel, including driving, public transportation, and walking on the sidewalk. The road modifications at Na Luang School used the Star Ratings for Schools system from iRAP or SR4S. The initial road assessment for this school zone found heavy and congested traffic near the intersection and pedestrian crossing in front of the school. To a category through enhanced safety assessments as a pilot school in the 3rd year program."

Ms. Penluck Bunkhwamdee, Principal of Na Luang School, said, "I am pleased that Na Luang School has been selected as the pilot school for the 3rd Bridgestone Road Safety Program. This has allowed students to exchange and enhance their knowledge outside the classroom, focusing on building road safety awareness with their friends and other instructors. In addition, the students have learned how to conduct themselves in road accidents and can apply these lessons in their daily lives. Lastly, I would like to thank you, Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd., for implementing this project to support road safety for students and teachers at Na Luang School and three other schools. I sincerely hope that Na Luang School and Thai Bridgestone will have the opportunity to collaborate on other beneficial projects."

As a sustainable solutions company, Bridgestone contributes to making everyone's journey sustainable and safe. One main initiative is to expand efforts to build safer schools nationwide proactively. This involves empowering young generations with a strong sense of responsibility and fostering behavioral changes related to road safety.
