Yindii proudly collaborated with the region's premier hospitality event to host the Yindii Eco-Brand Awards 2026 Thailand edition, celebrating the pioneers who are proving that the future of HOREC is circular. The awards honoured brands across Thailand's food and hospitality sector that are prioritising both planet and profit, bringing food waste reduction to one of the region's most prominent industry stages.
"THAIFEX brings together the people who are actually shaping where this industry goes next, so it felt like the right place to have an open conversation about food waste, not just as a problem, but as an opportunity. Being part of this meant recognising businesses that are already doing the work, and proving that turning surplus into real value, for your business and your community, isn't a compromise. Sustainability and commercial success are not mutually exclusive. They're the same thing," said Louis-Alban Batard-Dupre, Co?Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yindii.
The awards were presented across three competitive categories and a Special Sustainability Award. Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok was named Hotel of the Year, while other hotels recognised included Dusit Gourmet (Dusit Thani Bangkok), Conrad Hotels & Resorts, The Okura Prestige Bangkok and Centara Grand at CentralWorld. Tiengna Viennoiserie claimed Artisan Baker of the Year, edging ahead of Landhaus Bakery, Beyond Bread and Larder BKK. And in Bakery Chain of the Year, MX Cakes & Bakery (Thai Beverage PLC) took the title over Eric Kayser Thailand, Little Mermaid (Betagro Group), S&P Syndicate PLC, Paris Mikki and Bonjour Co. Ltd.
"We are deeply grateful to be named Hotel of the Year at the Yindii Eco?Brand Awards 2026. This recognition reinforces our commitment to sustainable hospitality and inspires us to continue supporting the food?rescue movement alongside Yindii", said Phuangphen Promma, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.
Two Special Sustainability Awards were also presented at the event. Alan Plate, by Sonite Surfaces, was recognised for its innovation in upcycling eggshell waste into sustainable tableware. M Wrap Thailand received the second special award for its long-standing dedication to food preservation and waste reduction across the industry.
The on-stage awards presentation reflected the growing momentum behind Yindii's mission in Thailand. Through the collective dedication of its partners and Food Heroes, the Yindii community in Thailand has saved over 100,000 meals, recovered 11 million THB in food value, and avoided 250,000 kg of CO? emissions — figures that underscore the real business and environmental case for tackling surplus food head-on.
The Yindii Eco-Brand Awards presentation offered a moment to celebrate businesses that are helping move the industry forward, while reinforcing Yindii's wider mission to make surplus food more accessible, affordable and useful across Asia.
