Mr. Prawin Khurowat, Chief Financial Officer of Chia Tai Company Limited, along with the group, presents 15,000 high-quality vegetable seed packs to H.H. Somdet Phra Mahaveerawong, member of the Thai Sangha Supreme Council, assistant to the abbot of Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram Ratchaworawihan, and secretary to His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch, at Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram Ratchaworawihan, which is an initiative under Khua Pan Im Project in a bid to support His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch's intention. The provided seeds are Chinese Kale, Celery, Wax Gourd, Hot Pepper, Pepper, Holy Basil, Cucumber, Watermelon, Corn, and Angled Gourd. The contribution is aimed at promoting vegetable planting in the temple's areas, creating local food sources for monks and people in nearby communities so that they can have easy access to clean, fresh, and safe food sources. In so doing, Chia Tai hopes to ease the hardships of COVID-19 and strengthen food security for communities amidst the current pandemic situation.
On this occasion, the executive members of Charoen Pokphand Group also offer 15,000 meal boxes and 50,000 facemasks to H.H. Somdet Phra Mahaveerawong so that the contribution can be distributed to people in surrounding areas in accordance with Krua Pan Im Project's objective, and ultimately mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on people and assist them in overcoming the crisis together.
