PASAYAand Mother's Spiritual Museum, presents 'Art for Love: Matarak': Art Exhibition fund raising charity for orphans effected by Covid-19.

2020 Marked the starting point of a very significant catastrophic event which took the world by surprise. A pandemic in a scale which the world had never seen before in centuries, the pandemic called COVID-19. The disasters and loss of lives brought about by the disease had cost many people their wealth, loved ones, and above all, their lives. Those who are fortunate enough to had survived the infectious disease had to suffer and endure through more difficulties and hardship. The effect varies greatly for everyone but is the worst on those who are less fortunate: especially those who are dependent on their families such as young children. "Every 12 seconds, somewhere around the world, a child is made orphaned by Covid-19" - Imperial College London.

For this very reason, PASAYAin collaboration with Mother's Spiritual Museum, presents 'Art for Love: Matarak' an art exhibition in a form of JAQUARD woven fabric called Textile Wall Mural. With the primary objective of raising funds through donations to help the youth and the disadvantaged who had been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exhibition will be on display at the ICONLUXE Gallery on the 1st Floor of ICONSIAM starting from 3 December 2021 to 9 January 2022.

Textile wall murals are an old craft tradition. The weaving process is laborious. It requires great skills and understanding to achieve beautiful, unique designs. Such meticulous process demands high prices and craftmanship. Nonetheless, thanks to the advancement of textile manufacturing and technologies advancements, textile wall murals can now be woven in a much shorter period of time while still maintaining the beauty and delicacy of the old crafts. The textile wall mural designs are woven based on paintings and photographs by several famed Thai and international artists, including Arianna Caroli, an Italian painter who is fascinated by the beauty and power of flowers. And Phansakdi Chakkapak, a leading Thai botanical artist. Each piece of work has perfectly captured the beauty and delicate details of the original works and offers a mesmerizing experience to the viewer.

The exhibition opening ceremony receives the greatest honor by having Mr. Anand Panyarachun, the 18thprime minister of Thailand as the distinguished guest of honor and the chairman of the ceremony. Accompanying with a special performance by Thai saxophonist Sakpol Aunsumran, or Koh Mr.Saxman.
