Tetra Pak Thailand participated in the "Channel 3 Planting Trees with the Governor of Bangkok" event, which was organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Channel 3 at the Queen's 80th Anniversary Park. A thousand trees were planted to add 'green' spots to the city's community park. This activity is aligned with the city's policy of planting a million trees to provide green areas and filter the dust. This is in line with Tetra Pak's approach in collaborating with others to act for nature by increasing green areas, and to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases by campaigning to collect and recycle used beverage cartons.

Besides joining the tree-planting activity, Tetra Pak contributed to the project by donating a set of multipurpose benches made entirely from Eco wood plastic composite made from used beverage cartons. The manufacturing process is using dry plastic and foil (PolyAl) obtained from the pulp separation via extrusion at a high temperature of 150-200oC. Once homogeneously melted, the mixture is moulded into designed shape, maximizing the utilisation of the material. It features a smooth surface, shape retention property, and corrosion resistance. Moreover, it is trimmable, screwable, and suitable for outdoor decorations. This approach supports the company's mission of establishing a true low-carbon circular economy in Thailand.
