Spotify launches 2023 RADAR Thailand, amplifying local artists and breaking down borders

Today, Spotify strengthens its ongoing commitment to Thai music with the unveiling of the 2023 RADAR artists slate for Thailand. The global audio platform's line-up of artist includes promising and rising talent across various genres includes T-Pop girl group PiXXiE, duo TOFFE, and soloist TIGGER; indie groups Reinizra, PURPEECH, wish., and AYLA; rapper OG BOBBY, and R&B artists PUN and Flower.Far. RADAR, Spotify's global program that supports emerging artists by helping them reach new audiences, is now in its third year.

"The growth of RADAR is a testament to a global appetite for local music. From soloists to groups, T-Pop to Hip-Hop, each of these artists across genres have displayed such talent; where they have seen new fans beyond the Thailand! Spotify driving discovery of emerging Thai artists and local genres

With an almost 90% increase in listenership of RADAR Thailand artists in the past year, Spotify continues to support the discovery of home-grown talent. The 153% growth of RADAR Thailand over the past year is a testament to the global appetite for local music. From leveraging Spotify's year-long playlisting, to spotlighting them in prominent locations like Parc Paragon and New York City's Time Square billboard, Spotify builds on the huge potential of Thai artists, just waiting to be discovered by a borderless audience.

Two of last year's breakout RADAR artists, HYBS and Jeff Satur, experienced remarkable doubling their growth in their monthly listenership, featuring on regional playlist covers such as .ORG and Pop Rising, and expanding their reach beyond Thailand into Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, and more.
