Krungsri Auto, a leader in automotive finance under Bank of Ayudhya PCL, launches the "Revive and Repurpose" initiative to reinforce the efficient use of resources from marketing activities. Under this project, furniture from completed marketing events will be modified as equipment for schools in remote areas. During the first half of 2022, sets of modified furniture were provided to five schools in five regions. The approach will continue to be implemented across marketing activities nationwide to reaffirm Krungsri Auto's commitment in driving social along with business sustainability.

Mr. Pornthep Tirasuntrakul, Head of Krungsri Auto Marketing Division, Bank of Ayudhya PCL, said, "With our #NoMoreWaiting branding strategy which aims to inspire everyone to drive changes, both in their lives and the society, Krungsri Auto is committed to taking our own actions for the benefits of consumers and society. One of our goals is to optimize resource management in every process of our business operations. In late 2021, we started adjusting parts of our service operations at automotive events, which are among our key marketing activities held over 20 times a year. The booth is designed under the 'Sustainability in Everyday Life' concept that places concern around the use of materials with the least impact on the environment. Single-use furniture items are also be modified as equipment for schools in remote areas to encourage effective use of resources."

Material substitution is another approach adopted by Krungsri Auto. For instance, tables used at automotive events were made of alternative materials, namely recycled beverage boxes, and stools were made up of old tires and shock absorber springs to help reduce the production of carbon dioxide from new wood production and the amount of waste from car tires and metal. Moreover, the counters and cabinets used to store electronic devices were also re-designed as cabinets for multiple school uses.

Under this initiative, Krungsri Auto has donated a total of 26 tables, 80 stools, 11 bookcases, and 4 cabinets, worth over THB 100,000, to five small-sized schools that sought support through the "Helping schools in rural areas" project Facebook page. The five schools are Ban Wang Mon school in Lamphun, Ban Wang Kradon Yai school in Nakhon Sawan, Ban Kut Chot school in Yasothon, Ban Nong Wa (Thanomratbumrung) school in Chachoengsao, and Wat Thai Thale school in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

"The 'Revive and Repurpose' initiative has contributed to tangible and substantial impacts, even though the program is still in its initial phase. We believe that every of our small helping hands will eventually lead to greater impacts. More importantly, the initiative will also instill these groups of young citizens to adopt the concept of sustainability as well as environmental and social responsibility in their lives," concluded Mr. Pornthep.
