Throughout December, celebrations at Shangri-La Bangkok will put on spotlight three captivating hero characters: Mr. Nutcracker, the Penguins, and the Shangri-La Airship, coming together to form the creative heart of the campaign.
Mr. Nutcracker, a beloved character from previous Shangri-La Christmas campaigns, returns to bring continuity from Shangri-La Christmases past to the present. Meanwhile, The Penguins, known from the global 'Find Your Shangri-La' campaign and brand film, create a whimsical link with the brand film's magical world. To add a unique twist, the Shangri-La Airship, a newly imagined time-traveling vehicle, will take Mr. Nutcracker, the Penguins, and our guests on a journey of enduring personal moments that transcend time and place.
A set of visually stunning images, in collaboration with Happy Menocal Studio, offers a glimpse into the world of Enchanted Wonders through Happy Menocal Studio's unique water painting style. These visuals beautifully depict the richness of the three hero characters and the enchanting Christmas world they inhabit.
Highlights
Enchanted Wonders Advent Calendar - The campaign will feature highly memorable Christmas-themed goodies in a limited-edition Shangri-La Airship box. Two versions of the Enchanted Wonders advent calendar will be available with a premium version priced at THB 7,500 nett containing 24 mini boxes offering edible and non-edible surprises, LED lights, a movable propeller, and a ceramic ornament in three versions for customizing a personal greeting. A regular version, priced at THB 5,500 nett, will contain delectable chocolate treats along with Enchanted Wonders stickers for guests to interact with as they choose.
Christmas Tree Light-Up on Friday, 1 December 2023 from 6:30pm to 8pm - To start off the festive season on a merry note, Shangri-La Bangkok hosts its annual Christmas Tree light-up with proceeds of the event going towards the Foundation for Deaf Children under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to buy limited edition Elephant Parade 'Enchanted Wonders Ornaments' with proceeds of net profit from the sale of limited-edition Elephant Parade figurines benefitting Elephant Welfare and Conservation Projects in Thailand.
The Christmas Tree Light-Up promises to be a magical event with entertainment inspired by the classic Nutcracker play, in line with the 'Enchanted Wonders' theme of the season. Shows include ballet performances by invited performers with piano performance by Stockholm-based, international musician and composer, Martin Al Khalili who enjoys prestigious accolades from captivating performances across Europe.

'Enchanted Wonders - Sugar, Spice, and All Things Nice' Afternoon Tea - Discover a magical treat of festive flavours at the Lobby Lounge while taking in captivating views of the Chao Phraya River. Executive Pastry Chef Alexandar Hekimov and his team have conjured up a set of sweet and savoury treats - Pepper Roasted Beef, Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese Pinwheel, Curried Egg Mimosa while sweet cravings will be delighted with the merry Massaman Macaron, Tamarind Masala Cheesecake, and other sweet treats that just as extra nice. Priced at THB 1,999 nett per set for two people inclusive of a fine selection of hand-picked teas and premium coffee. Available from 2pm to 6pm until 31 January 2024.
