This is an effort to develop a strong digital ecosystem that will ensure the sustainable growth of Thai entrepreneurs. The "SCB Total Payment Solution" has been introduced for businesses in the Eastern region first, before later roll-out to other regions nationwide.

Regarding this new initiative, SCB First Executive Vice President, Head of Digital Juristic & Payment Mr. Thanawatn Kittisuwan recently said, "The Thai economy in 2024 is likely to expand at a higher rate than the previous year, thanks to continued support from consumption by the private and tourism sectors. In line with these trends, we aim to continue our support for Thai entrepreneurs so that they can seamlessly handle payments from tourists worldwide. Following our successful "SCB welcomes back tourists!" campaign, we are continuing our support for business operators in the tourism sector, including hotels, restaurants, and the import-export sector, with an "SCB Total Payment Solution." This is a total digital payment solution offering digital and online payment facilities for businesses, including payment gateway/payment link service, Digital Banking Platform for international trade (Business Anywhere Trade IR/OR), and cross-border QR Payment via the Mae Manee app or at stores that accept Thai QR payments. In particular, merchants can accept payments made by tourists and businesspeople using participating mobile banking applications from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and South Korea. The solution offers more payment options and boosts business efficiency for Thai entrepreneurs. In the initial phase, the "SCB Total Payment Solution" has been introduced to some 166,000 SCB clients doing business in the Eastern region first, before rolling out to other regions nationwide later on. The Eastern region is an important economic area, especially the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) area that will help attract direct foreign investment, along with the region's potential in terms of agricultural development and the export of premium quality produce to foreign countries."

"SCB hopes that this campaign promoting SCB digital channels will help drive the economy and boost revenues from the tourism and import-export industries, which are among the main sources of Thailand's revenues. We continue to promote the SCB Total Payment Solution through activities that are in line with government policies that focus on generating income for the country and develop a strong digital ecosystem for Thai business operators' sustainable growth at the same time." Mr. Thanawatn added.
